You might not have heard of Lithuanian producer Dynoro yet, but there’s a strong chance you heard his version of “In My Mind,” which blended the theme from Ivan Gough and Feenixpawl’s 2012 mega-hit with Gigi D’Agostino’s Eurodance classic “L’amour Toujours.” The track peaked at No. 5 on the UK Official Charts, and reached the tops of Spotify, Apple Music, and Shazam charts in 13 European countries.
Yet, the producer born Edvinas Pechovskis isn’t content to rework familiar melodies into something completely different. Instead, as a follow up, he collaborated with singer Ina Wroldsen on track “Obsessed,” which hit back in March. Wroldsen, if you’re not familiar, was the featured vocalist on Calvin Harris’ 2015 hit “How Deep is Your Love,” and has worked with other big-name dance acts since, including Martin Solveig, Steve Aoki, Clean Bandit, and Jax Jones.

Just 19 years old and getting started initially through YouTube channel “Lithuania HQ,” Dynoro’s positioned to be the next producer prodigy in the same vein as Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix, Porter Robinson, or Martin Jensen. As he gets ready for the next step in his career and preps for festival season, we had a chance to ask him a few questions:
How did you first get interested in becoming a DJ?
It all started when I was asked to be the sound controlling guy in my school events. Then, I started to become interested in DJ’ing. I bought my first DJ controller and started practicing at home. Later on, I started playing at my school discos.
How has the success of “In My” Mind changed your career?
My life changed completely. Now there are so many opportunities and a lot of inspiration.
What was your inspiration for your latest album?
I wanted to tell people something more from my life – wanted to show a period of my life that I have been going through.
What are you working on next?
Now I’m working with a lot of new people that I never thought I would work with – and we are preparing some new stuff.
